Madam Fadzilah Ahmad Din, Principal Consultant at Collective Intelligence Consultancy is an in-ternational consultant, business coach, and a much respected speaker and panellist in the enter-prise (SME) development and entrepreneurship sphere.
She possesses deep insight and experience in entrepreneurship and enterprise development, par-ticularly in capacity building of SMEs, as well as SME policy development. She has provided poli-cy and SME development programme advisory to international consulting houses. She is also a coach working with SMEs which are at early stage or growth stage.
She is also an active member of NAWEM ( National Association of Women Entrepreneurs Malaysia) currently holding the portfolio of
International Affairs in the NAWEM Exco.
In her previous tenure as the Senior Director Business Development Division, Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation Malaysia (SME CORP. Malaysia) and Director of MASTIC, MOSTI, she is garnered a deep wealth of knowledge and experience of the government and industry.
She was a key resource person developing and leading various programmes for SME Corp, which include among others,
• The development of the methodology of SME Competitive Rating for Enhancement (SCORE), which is now used as the National audit/assessment tool for SMEs rating,
• Promoting technology enhancement and innovation in business, initiatives for development of in-novative SMEs such as the ‘Green LED Programme’ and the ‘1-InnoCERT Programme’.
• Other areas under her portfolio include Branding, Skills Upgrading, and the promotion of Business Linkages which facilitates the SMEs access to larger companies and MNC’s supply chain.
She started her career as a Chemist where she also became the Project Implementation Officer, World Bank Project for the construction and equipping of 5 laboratories for the Department of Chemistry Malaysia. In 1996 she joined the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment as Head of the Information Services at MASTIC, and in 2000 she was appointed as Director of MAS-TIC, where she was recognised for her expertise in science and technology (S&T) indicators and was instrumental in the development of the national S&T Database and knowledge resources (KRSTE.my.
